I saw this book tag on Fiction No Chaser and wanted to take a stab at it! Haven’t done a book tag in a while so here we go!

GREED – What is your most inexpensive book? Expensive book?

Most expensive would be The Complete Novels of Jane Austen haha. I love the look and feel of collected works in a hardback volume. Inexpensive would be October Sky since I got it at a library book sale 🙂

WRATH – What author do you have a love/hate relationship with?

Probably Ayn Rand haha! I read Anthem back in high school and loved it, BUT the sheer size of The Fountainhead and Atlas Shrugged makes me not like her because it is taking me YEARS to finish them.

GLUTTONY – What book have you devoured over and over again with no shame?

I’m a sucker for Colleen Hoover novels! They are quick reads that go beyond romance and more into contemporary fiction. The kinds of relationships she depicts are beautifully written and complex. My favorites are Ugly Love and November 9.

SLOTH – What book have you neglected to read due to laziness?

Most books by Jodi Picoult. I know she is a fantastic writer but sometimes I just don’t want to get that deep with the topics she writes about. Definitely knowledgeable and a way of making us understand the intricacies of the themes, but definitely heavy!

PRIDE – What book do you talk about most in order to sound like an intellectual reader?

If we’re going old school, Pride and Prejudice. Haha, classic. But, more in the modern day, Everything That Remains.

LUST – What attributes do you find attractive in male or female characters?

The quiet, misunderstood, strong, brooding, sometimes odd, surprisingly funny characters. Jamie from Outlander, Olly from Everything, Everything, Will from Me Before Youand Augustus from The Fault in Our Stars.

ENVY – What book would you most like to receive as a gift?

The Italian version of Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban (Harry Potter e il Prigioniero di Azkaban)! I saw it at Powell’s in Portland over spring break and can’t stop thinking about it!

What would your Seven Deadly Sins of books look like?
