London Recap!

After rereading my pre-trip reflections in London Prep, I found it comical that I mentioned being flexible and of course right when I arrive, a lot of my agenda was shifted around – because of being tired but also wanting to slow down the experience. I will say that I was apprehensive of returning after 4 years, hoping that I did not set my sights too high and being let down from what I remember feeling the first time I went. Yes, there were moments where I felt that I could’ve pushed myself more (socially) but overall, I couldn’t be happier with my trip and am already planning the next go around. Here is a quick recap and reflection from each day:

Day One:

Day Two:

Day Three:

Day Four:

Although I did not challenge myself socially as I would’ve hoped, I realized that I thrive on organized activities to make friends and meet new people since there is a commonality. For example, I joined rec sports when I first moved to the MidWest and found that I was able to relate more to people and develop friendships over time (consistently attending helped too!). So for my next trip, I am looking to find organized social events around the city (NOT happy hours!) and see what I can make of it.

What social events should I take part in the next time I am in London?
